Senior Scientist - Production & New Products An ideal opportunity for the right person to have a wide ranging and varied role.You should preferably have a First Degree in Immunology or Biochemistry and some good experience in Industry. Incuding antibody bsed work and good experience of the various processes of getting them from raw anntiserum to a product ready to be used to make a kit, to purificationand conjugation. We would like to see some troubleshooting experience and ability to demonstrate specific cases. This person will be the technical point of contact in production, they will also have responsibility for the effective transfer of new products to production and supervising initial production lots. 1 Reporting to the Division Manager, be responsible for providing ELISA reagents and conjugates for production of various products at levels and schedules agreed. 2. Produce partially purifies antibodies to required specificatiobns according to SOP's and WI's according to agreed schedule of work to ensure no delays in product production. 3.Produce conjugates to required specifications according to SOP's and WI's according to agreed schedule of work to ensure no delays in product production. 4. Produce standards and control materials to required specifications according to SOP's and WI's according to agreed schedule of work to ensure no delays in product production 5. Responsible for troubleshooting where necessary with purification and conjugations and also for assisting with Troubleshooting of ELISA manufacture 6. Authorship and maintenance of all relevant SOP's and WI's, which are related to process for which you are responsible. Including the introduction of new products. 7. Responsible for effective transfer of new products to production and oversee initial product production batches. 8. Assist with training and be technical point of contact to other members of staff in production as required. 9. To devise and manage agreed annual budget for department spending 10. To maintain an awareness and compliance with Neogen Europes Health and Safety Policy and any other relevant legal requirements 11.
